Color of Woman
In my work I struggle to bring a sense of sacred to the simple, a feeling of spirit to the ordinary, an image of strength to women and their families and a song of praise for the Creator! My art is celebration of life! I love it when people describe my work as "happy, playful, comforting, powerful, brave, spiritual and insightful" because I feel all these things when I am creating. My creative time is when I am most centered, most at home in my body and in communion with the Spirit. I believe the creative process is an incredible healing tool.

My studio and gallery, Color of Woman is a creative sanctuary for painting and teaching. My work serves as a catalyst for supporting others in developing their creative spirit. I often tell my students - don't wait for inspiration or to 'feel like it", just do it, put the paint brush on the canvas. Don't wait...begin now.

I have been painting professionally for five years after studying at the Academy of Art in San Francisco and St Mary's Seminary in Boulder. I also enjoyed a two year internship with my mentor Sue Hoya Sellars, whose work is also featured in the gallery. In addition to over seventy-five greeting cards, my line of work also includes a coloring book and journal, she-shirts, stamps, stones and prints

With my husband, Isaiah, a visionary musician, who has just produced his first CD, I share a ministry of creativity and healing centered in Jesus Christ. Our ministry is also dedicated to revealing and discovering the feminine face of our Creator, in whose image I was created woman.
