Dining in Napa
Valley
River
House Restaurant & Gallery
The
River House restaurant began life as a former Petaluma mayor's home in
the 1880's and was moved to it's present location at the edge of Petaluma's
turning basin in 1977. The
beautiful Queen Anne Victorian has been completely restored. Upon entering,
guests are greeted with an Arts & Crafts inspired interior design
that offers a feeling of warmth and hospitality. The walls are a pale
wash of patina autumn yellow to support the artwork provided by local
artists, and to compliment the regionally inspired American cooking.
Today, the menu of
River House reflects the desire to create fresh flavors built upon the
availability of seasonal ingredients, and to bring back the memory of
a favorite dish from our past.
The
refurbished antique bar is well stocked with spirits and fine wines from
neighboring Sonoma County Wineries. The River House reflects the graciousness
of the past, while serving the needs of today's diner. Sip
a cocktail, enjoy some of our great appetizers and listen to great entertainment
every Friday on our heated patio (bring a blanket-even with the heaters,
the patio can get cool). The River House restaurant, already your destination
for great food and wine is excited to offer live music to round out the
perfect evening.
