are proud to be the innkeeper of this lovely historic home, situated in
downtown Healdsburg. We have continued the tradition of restoring this
wonderful property. Our goal is to provide you with a memorable stay at
the George Alexander House. Situated in downtown Healdsburg, you can easily
walk to town and sample the fine wines of Sonoma, enjoy the gourmet food
of local bistro or find a shop that can provide you the bikes or canoes
to enjoy our Sonoma surroundings.
Your hosts are inveterate travelers who have lived overseas and traveled widely. As such, we understand the comforts you expect when you travel. Things like down comforters, thick towels, daily newspapers, complimentary beverages and special needs that arise. We strive to provide you a wonderful hot breakfast - including the famous house lemon ricotta pancakes.
The George Alexander House was built in 1905 by George Alexander, the 10th child of Cyrus Alexander, the 1st Euro-American settler in the North Sonoma County area, (hence Alexander Valley). George, his Nellie and their daughter Lucille lived in the house until 1922. The house is noted for its quatrefoil windows in the front and on the tower and its exuberant ornamental details
